CSI Emmanuel Church

History and Beginnings

Our church’s journey began in 1968 in Thangam Colony, starting with humble beginnings in an AC sheet building. We were a small congregation few families, coming together to worship and build a community of faith.

Over the years, our church has grown and evolved. Today, we proudly serve our community from our new, dedicated church building, which was inaugurated on August 18th, 1989 by Rt. Rev. Dr. Sundar Clarke. This milestone marks a significant chapter in our history and reflects our commitment to providing a place of worship and fellowship.

Our Community

We are proud to be a part of the Church of South India (CSI), a dynamic and inclusive fellowship that brings together a diverse tapestry of Christian traditions. Our congregation embraces a harmonious blend of Anglican, Methodist, Presbyterian, and Congregational heritage, creating a vibrant and enriched spiritual community.

Mission and Vision

Our mission is to be a beacon of hope and service to our community. We are dedicated to:

  • Preaching the Word of God: Sharing the message of Christ with passion and commitment.
  • Constructing New Churches: Expanding our reach and building new places of worship to serve growing communities.
  • Helping the Poor: Providing support and relief to those in need within our community.
  • Supporting Those in Need: Offering assistance in areas including medical care, education, and orphanages.
  • Oct 2nd Medical Ministry: On October 2nd, our entire church will provide medical care across 50 villages.

Our vision is to continue making a positive impact, both spiritually and practically, as we strive to live out our faith through acts of love and service.

Since 1980, our church has been blessed with dedicated reverends who have faithfully led and nurtured our congregation. Each reverend has brought their unique vision and commitment to serve God and the community, helping to shape the spiritual life of our church.
